I am a Welsh/Australian author living in sunny Queensland. I have two children, a husband and a little feisty terrier named Billy.
Writing is my passion. Ever since my school days, I have written something or other. I kept a diary in school right through my painful teenage years and would spend hours in my bedroom, dreaming about my latest crush. When I was 14 years, I entered a writing competition at my school Eisteddfod. The piece was a poem I’d written about horses, that had impressed my English teacher. The poem came third, and my passion for writing was born.
I moved to Australia with my family just ten years ago, and love it. The lifestyle, the weather and the people; it is all so beautiful and positive.
So, I studied. Any free time that I had (in between going to the beach!) I read heaps of literature and history. I completed my degree in 2012, and my love of reading, and writing was reborn.
Last year I decided to enter a writing challenge, in which I had to write at least 500 words every day for a month. I did not think that I had very many stories inside me, but I completed the challenge easily, and my writing passion was reborn. I set up my blog, and started to write that book that had been inside my head for 10 years. I wrote my first book Elen within a few months, and then started my second book, Alice’s Secret. Elen is on Amazon kindle, whilst I am editing the second book.
Alice’s Secret is out July 2016

Welsh and a Queenslander, fantastic combo! Iβm from England, and lived in Queensland during the 1990s, from Ipswich, including Churchill, to just outside of town in farmland, but regularly at Metro Arts Centre, East Street, Brisbane too!

Hi Suzanne, itβs always good to meet another writer. Iβm not into historical fiction or any history for that matter, but weβre all different, and my read is always crime these days, especially Nordic crime. I wanted to thank you for giving my blog a follow! I will definitely follow your writing journey and add you to my list of authors! π

Hi Susan, so glad our husbands discussed us and I discovered your blog in the process. I am sure it will inspire me to write more, since I am an emotional writer – that is – I write when I feel like it. That is also exactly what writers are not supposed to be doing. Nonetheless I love the creativity of writing.

Hi helen lovely to meet you. Yes you’re right about writing as a hobby and as an occupation…it takes a lot of motivation and discipline! Many writers would agree but it can be rewarding too, to be so creative. Thanks for following my blog, fellow blogger! βΊ

I’m in awe of people who can white a book in a few months. Even more in awe of people who have a book in their head. Awe and not just a little bit jealous. I love to write, I dream about writing books, but have absolutely no clue what to write about.
Looking forward to following your blog.
