“If you can dream it, you can do it”
– Walt Disney

For this week’s Tuesday quote I have chosen an inspirational quote from Walt Disney. Born Walter Elias ‘Walt’ Disney in Chicago Illinois in the turn of the last century (1901-1966), he changed the way in which we laugh, cry and entertain ourselves. He was an American entrepreneur, animator and film producer.
Did you know?
- his first animation studio was called Laugh-O-Gram
- the Disneyland Park, the first theme park opened in Anaheim, Californis in 1955
- his most iconic character, Mickey Mouse, was introduced in the short animated feature Steamboat Willie in 1928, and was originally to be called Mortimer Mouse
- he holds the record for the most Academy Awards: 22 Oscars, from 59 nominations
- he co founded the Walt Disney Company with his brother Roy. The company is still one of the world’s largest and best known entertainment companies
- he was involved in planning the 1960 Winter Olympics in California, and the 1964 New York World Fair

We need more dreamers now as Walt Disney to lighten people up after this election.

It may have been true for him back the, but it’s not true for me today. I’ve been dreaming since the election about changing the outcome so that the popular vote could prevail, but alas, it is not to be. I guess that I’ll just have to stop dreaming, it’s too depressing to see working people hurt the way they will be for at ;east the next four years.
